Christmas in CF.

Paul, Charlie and I went home to Cedar Falls Christmas Eve.  Charlie took a nap while my mom, Paul, and I went to church at Naz. We spent the night at the Dowd's opening a few Christmas presents,  eating steaks,  and watching bowl games.  Christmas Day was split between both houses so we could see both sides.  Charlie was a little overwhelmed with all of the presents and gave up opening them.  She got to see Aunt MoMo, Uncle NeNe, Uncle Scott, both sets of grandparents, Euny, Bill and Barb.

We had some downtime towards the end of the week.  Charlie went to Hubbard early with Julie and Steve and Paul and I had a night out with our friends.  Christmas isn't complete without an ugly Christmas sweater party.  We hung out with all of our high school friends, playing Beer Pong and flippy cup.  We have an amazing group of friends that we still get to see every couple of months.  It was nice to be home, but it is getting harder to be away from everyone.  I always feel like we are missing out.  Hopefully someday we will be closer.

Our Christmas.

Charlie, Paul, and I had our Christmas on Monday.  We listened to Christmas music and opened presents. Charlie said, "Wow!" as she opened each one.  Some of the highlights for her were: Winnie the Pooh, nail polish, scented bubbles, crayons, magnets, necklaces and a broom set.  It was a long process because she played with each thing before opening a new present.  Once she saw what the present was she would ask us to open it immediately.  It was fun to watch her get excited this year.
