Water table.

Charlie and I went to Aldi's for groceries yesterday and we spotted a water table for sale.  She plays with our neighbor's table all of the time so I knew she liked them.  We love to be outside, and it is nice to have stuff at our house to play with.

Memorial Day weekend.

We made the trip back to Cedar Falls for the weekend.  Friday and Saturday morning was spent at the Boeke's house.  We went to Pump Haus for dinner, played at the park, and planted flowers.  Saturday afternoon we went to the Dowd house.  Molly was in town for a baby shower.  We spent the afternoon outside on the deck.  We all went to Montage for dinner.  Charlie found her new favorite food (she ate 2 whole truffles).  Paul and I got to go out for a bit Saturday night with friends.

Maifest in Herman.

We went to Herman, MO today for Maifest.  We weren't sure what to expect, but Herman is a cute little town about an hour away from Columbia.  We each had a treat: Paul had a brat, Charlie had kettlecorn, and I had a pretzel with beer cheese sauce.  Charlie rode a pony.  She wasn't thrilled with the helmet she had to wear, but was excited to pet the pony.  Unfortunately, a lot of the kid things were too big for her.  It made us excited to go home for Sturgis Falls.

Mother's Day.

Charlie and I had a great weekend.  We went to the outlet mall in Osage Beach on Saturday.  It was a really pretty drive and fun to see a new city.  She watched Frozen while I shopped.  It was really hot so we didn't last too long.  We went to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch where Charlie got her own tablet to play games on.  On the way home we stopped at Stephen's Lake park and played at the splash ground and grabbed ice cream cones before we came home for naptime.  We spent the rest of the night cuddling in bed and watching cartoons.

 Sunday morning we went shopping for flowers.  Paul got home around lunchtime from Kansas City, and we went back to the splash grounds to play.  I got my favorite greek salad and hummus for lunch.  During Charlie and Paul's naps I went to a movie all by myself.  

Stephen's Lake Park.

I don't work Wednesday mornings so Charlie and I got to the park early this morning.  We played at the splash pad, went on a walk, played in the sand, and went on the swings and slide.  It was 90 degrees by the time we left.  I love taking her there.
