Weekend in Des Moines.

This weekend we spent a couple days in Des Moines and in Hubbard.  On Thursday we spent the night at a hotel and went swimming.  Georgia loved the water.  We went to Old McDonald's (McDonald's) for supper and got Charlie a happy meal.  Charlie slept on the roll away cot and thought it was cool to have her own bed.

Friday we hung out in Des Moines at the mall and in the hotel while Paul had an interview.  Georgia and Charlie played at the Long's house with Grandma Barb and Grandpa Don Friday night.  Charlie got to play with her cousins and Grandma Julie and Paul went golfing in Hubbard on Saturday.  Georgia and I had lunch with Lindsey and met CF girls for a bit in the afternoon.

We got to see a lot of family and friends but it was a long 4 days and we are glad to be back home.

Charlie in CF.

Paul, Georgia, and I went to Madison last week to find a place to live and Charlie got to spend a few days in Cedar Falls.  We looked at a ton of places and I think we found one that will work well for us.  We got to see a lot of Madison as we drove around.  The downtown is pretty cool with lots of restaurants to choose from.  We ate at the Tipsy Cow and had amazing fried cheese curds.

While we were gone Charlie went to a movie with Chris and Owen, played with Loras, Mary Ellen, Carol, and Randy.  She made smores, went to 4 Queens and had a McDonald's picnic.   We always miss her when we are gone, but she has a lot of fun at her grandparents.

Georgia's baptism.

Both of the girls have had their baptisms on Mother's Day.  It was nice to be back at Naz.  Georgia and Charlie were both great during the service and Georgia didn't flinch when water got poured on her head.

4 months.

Georgia is 4 months old.  She is getting such a fun personality.  She has another cold so sleep hasn't been as great lately.  She has slept through the night for so long it always surprises me when she wakes up in the middle of the night.  She loves fans, mirrors, and watching Charlie play.  When I feed her she stops in the middle and looks up and smiles at me.  It is pretty sweet.
