Dress up.

They are building new houses behind us.  We walk up the hill, pull flowers, and watch the construction workers.

Weekend at home.

Boekes came for the weekend, and the weather was perfect to be outside.  We went to a brewery in town called Logboat.  Everyone said the beer tasted great, and the atmosphere was really cool.  I can't wait to go back when I can actually have a drink!  We watched the Hawkeye game, went on a picnic at Stephens Lake, and carved pumpkins.  Paul carved Daniel Tiger for Charlie because it is her new favorite show, and Steve carved the Tiger Hawk. She thought it was fun to scoop out the pumpkins as long as she didn't touch any of the goo inside.

Rainy days.

Sunday Funday.

Charlie and I had a big day yesterday.  We went to the Fire Prevention Kickoff party in Columbia in the morning.  Charlie got to jump in a bounce house, "drive" a fire truck, see Truman the Tiger, and play lots of games.  We came home for a quick lunch and then took off for Peachtree Farms.  It is a really nice pumpkin farm with animals, hayrides, and face painting.  I can't believe Charlie waited in line and actually sat still for the face painting.  She has been watching a lot of Daniel the Tiger lately and insisted that is what she wanted on her face.  We got popcorn and Charlie picked out a pumpkin to take home.  I was absolutely exhausted by the time the day was over, but it was a lot of fun to see her so excited.
