Charlie has been hesitant to go outside lately because she is afraid of bugs. I keep trying everyday because it is starting to get warmer and I need to get out of the house. She loves picnics so that is how I convince her to go outside. We lay out a blanket, get plates and silverware, and eat our "food".

Tons of Trucks.
There was an event in Columbia called Tons of trucks. They had everything you could imagine that a kid would want to climb in and lay on the horn. Georgia wasn't a huge fan but Charlie thought it was pretty cool. She got to climb in the Oscar Meyer Weiner mobile, an ambulance, fire truck, etc.

Family pics.
Paul was gone from Wednesday until Friday night last week so I was home with the girls for the first time. We did okay but our car broke down but definitely realized how much we need/want Paul around. We had a good weekend and ended it by making smores in our fire pit Sunday night.

Back on a schedule.
We are starting to get back to normal; going to the gym, working, etc. It is nice to have something planned everyday so we get out of the house. It is good for the girls and good for me too.

Big week.
Charlie, Georgia and I stayed in Cedar Falls for the week. We had Molly's baby shower Saturday, family pictures on Sunday, and went to Decorah on Monday. On Tuesday we went to Cinderella and a park and Charlie got to play with Jack Humpal. I overheard her telling him, "Hey, my mom has a lot of shoes. Want to see them?"
We went to Messy Mornings at the Hearst Center Wednesday morning, shopping and out for Wine Wednesday. On Thursday Paul, Georgia and I headed to Bettendorf to meet with a practice and Charlie stayed at the Boekes. She went to the children's museum and an egg hunt. We had a good time checking out restaurants and the Quad Cities and meeting doctors and their wives. It was nice being able to give Georgia a little extra attention.
We got back to CF late Saturday night and had Easter on Sunday in Marshalltown. Charlie loved looking for eggs over and over again. She talked Uncle Scott into playing surprise eggs.
We are glad to be back home again, but it was a fun trip.
