Go Hawks.

Charlie got to spend the weekend in CF and Hubbard with her grandparents.  She went to Artapalooza downtown Cedar Falls.  She got her face painted, had ice cream, and got to paint.  She went to Hubbard on Saturday to hang out with her cousins.  They played coffee shop and drove around in their cool cars.  Charlie went to the Dowd's on Sunday.  She made lots of Halloween crafts and tried on part of her Halloween outfit.  She learned tic tac toe with Grandpa.

While Charlie was in CF, Paul, Georgia, and I went to Minneapolis to see Scott and Lauren.  Their apartment is really nice and it was fun to see where they live.  We went to Happy Gnome for lunch and it happened to be Gnome Week.  Georgia wasn't so sure about them but Paul loves his new hat.  We watched the Iowa game and then the guys went to a concert to see Ratatat.  Thankfully the Hawks won so the guys were in good moods.  Sunday we got to see my Luther friends and kids at Brit's house.  It was the first time meeting all of their kids.

8 months.

Georgia has 4 new teeth coming in on top, which makes 6 total.  She has been eating bananas and loves to chew on apple slices.  She pulls herself up on everything.  I don't think it will be too long before she takes her first steps.  She thinks it is really fun to play peekaboo and have pillow fights.  Charlie is still the best form of entertainment.  I can put her down at night without too much trouble but she is still not taking many naps throughout the day.  Maybe that is being the 2nd child.

Preschool.

Charlie started her first day of school yesterday.  I couldn't sleep the night before and she was in and out of our bed the whole night.  I hope she doesn't take after me and worry about everything.  She is going Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:30 to 12:30.  The preschool is really close to our house, and everyone has been really friendly.  Her first day she got to play with stickers, had recess, played with dolls and teapots.  I hope that she loves it and meets a lot of new friends.  Georgia and I are enjoying some one on one time too.  We went for ice cream to celebrate a good first day.
