Charlie's style.

Charlie's latest outfits include helmets, rainboots, Cheeto face, and Jake the pirate.  She has gotten picky about what she wears when I get her dressed in the morning.  She will tell me what pants, shirt, and shoes she wants to wear that day, and most of the time she doesn't want to wear any pants at all.  

Easter.

Paul, Charlie, Chloe, and I went home for Easter this year.  We drove to Hubbard on Saturday for Grandma Evalyn's 95th birthday.  Most of Paul's aunts and uncles came with their kids and grandchildren.  Charlie had lots of fun with the swingset, bikes, bubbles, and chalk.  She got to play with her cousins that she doesn't get to see very often.  Charlie got to have her first egg hunt too.

Saturday night we drove to CF to have Easter with my side of the family.  Charlie had another egg hunt, more bubbles, and more treats.  Over the weekend Charlie got to see an aunt and uncle, 4 grandparents, 4 great grandparents, 11 great aunts and uncles, and 8 second cousins.  Not too bad for a quick trip home. She got so many presents that it felt like we were unpacking from Christmas.  

Frozen.

I work at the daycare in two gyms and they have been playing "Frozen" nonstop since the movie came out. We have also rented it multiple times at home.  Charlie knows 3 words from the movie ,"Let it go", but it doesn't stop her from dancing and singing at the top of her lungs.  Last week it snowed, and we went through our closets for our hats and gloves while watching "Frozen".  She loved dressing up, especially in Papa's hat.

My bookworm.

One of Charlie's favorite places to go is the library.  She loves climbing the stairs, playing on the computers, doing puzzles, and playing in the kitchen.  She likes to pull out way too many books and cuddle up on the chairs and "read".  

Stephen's Lake.

It is so nice to be outside again.  We spent the morning playing on the slide, swinging, and walking around the lake.  After the park we went to the gym for my spinning class, Lucky's for some watermelon, and back home for bubbles, sidewalk chalk, and soccer.  I love spring!

Busy weekend.

Charlie and I started off the weekend with a doughnut at Hy-Vee, playing at the Library, and going to the gym.  Julie and Steve came back in the afternoon and did bubbles and sidewalk chalk with Charlie in the driveway.  We went to Shakespeare's for supper and Charlie played Buck Hunter the whole time we were there.

On Saturday the girls went to the mall.   Charlie played on the slide and built with Legos in Barnes and Noble.  There was an event going on for the hospital so we got to see Truman the Tiger, colored, and got a balloon.  At Target Charlie got a new Jake and the Neverland Pirates toy.  She has been carrying the eyeglass and map around ever since she first got it.  Paul and I went out Saturday night and Charlie got to stay with Grandma and Grandpa at home.     We finished off the weekend Sunday night at our favorite ice cream store, Sparky's.
