Bathtime and May Day.

Lindsey Sanner and Mike Christianson came to visit last weekend.  They are our friends from Broadlawns.  The weather was horrible, but we still walked around downtown a bit to show them around Columbia.  We went to both breweries, a couple new restaurants, played cards, and drank great beer.  We were only in Des Moines for a year, but the people that we met there will be lifelong friends.

It is finally warm here again.  It was over 80 degrees today so we spent as much time outdoors as possible.  We are so ready for Florida!

Charlie got a package in the mail from Grandma and Grandpa Dowd for May Day.  We have always used the same may day baskets.  I can't wait to make them with Charlie someday.

New things:
She loves to show her belly to everyone.
New words-shoes and eyes
She knows where our eyes, nose, and mouths are.
Getting good at shooting hoops.
Wants to be outside all the time.

Popsicles.

 Grandma Julie and Grandpa Steve bought Charlie a Zoku when they were here in Columbia last time.  You can put any kind of juice, smoothie, or drink in the mold and make popsicles.  We tried it for the first time today.  Charlie is getting 2 more top teeth and has been in pain the last couple of days.  I made an orange juice popsicle and she seemed to like it.  

It has been a little nicer outside so we have been spending more time in our yard.  Charlie loves walking up and down the sidewalk.  She has fallen quite a few times.  I feel so bad because she has scrapes all over her face, hands, and feet.  Hopefully she gets more coordinated soon!

Belated Birthday Present.

My parents bought Charlie a chair for her birthday.  It was back ordered and got here last week.  the minute we put it together Charlie was all over it.  She loves to climb in it and stand up.  She eats her breakfast in it, drinks bottles in it, and loves to check our phones while sitting in it.  Her favorite time to hang out in her new chair is after bath time.  She runs straight from the tub to the chair, naked.  So far we haven't had any accidents yet.
