Big girl bed part 2.
We moved Charlie into a twin bed this weekend and Georgia into her old crib. So far so good. They both slept really well last night. It is nice for us because we can cuddle with her in her bed now and read stories together at night.
Batman.
Charlie is full potty trained (knock on wood). She has been doing really well for the last couple of weeks. We had agreed that the Batman cave toy was her reward for potty training. Every time we go to Barnes and Noble she plays with this specific toy, and has been wanting it for a long time. It was fun to see her reaction when we gave it to her.

Grandma Barb and Chris.
Grandma Barb and Chris came to Columbia to bring Charlie a twin bed. We took Chris around Columbia, shopping downtown, and to a few restaurants. It was nice to have them here and see the girls.

Photo session.
Charlie likes when I take pictures of her and Georgia. Every once in awhile she asks me to take some. They were both in their summer clothes today because it was 78 degrees outside. I had Georgia in a dress that Charlie wore when she was a baby. I think she might be too big to wear a lot of Charlie's clothes because of the 2 month difference. It is fun to remember Charlie at this age and to see the differences in the two.
Weekend with the Boekes.
Paul had his boards on Saturday morning. When he came home we were all ready to play/have a drink. We went to Paul's favorite place from college, Quintons, for lunch. It was really nice out so we spent the afternoon outside and grilled dinner. Michael (Paul's co-resident) and Megan came over for celebratory drinks Saturday night. They are from Madison and have been a ton of help for us trying to figure out where to live and things to do there.
Sunday morning we went to a park and Sparkys for ice cream. We had picnics outside and took out Charlie's water table.

Baking soda and vinegar.
We have found a lot of crafts on pinterest that Charlie loves and a lot of them have baking soda and vinegar in them. At Halloween we made witch potion in a cauldron and our latest creation is sidewalk paint. We spray a bottle of baking soda and cornstarch first and then use a spray bottle for vinegar. It bubbles up on the sidewalk and entertains Charlie for awhile.
Perfect day.
It was 70 degrees outside on Wednesday. We spent as much time outside as possible. We went to Stephens lake park first. Charlie played on the swings, the slide, in the sand, and we walked around the lake looking for dolphins (Charlie's idea). We went to Lucky's for groceries and had a piece of pizza for lunch. The rest of the afternoon we played with bubbles and sidewalk chalk. The days go by so much faster when we can be outside and everyone is happier.
