Chloe and Charlie.
While Paul and I eat supper we prop Charlie up on the couch so she can see us. Chloe likes to sit by her and occasionally smell her. Chloe has been really good with her, and we hope that she continues to be once Charlie starts moving around.
We started reading a puppy tails book to her this week. She loves looking at it and sticking it in her mouth. At least she is reading right? Charlie started sitting in her bumbo this week. She is not sure about it yet but likes to be able to see everything around her.
2 months.
Charlie has become a morning person over the last couple of weeks. Paul and I can hear her in the other room babbling and when we walk into the room she gets a huge smile on her face. It feels pretty good that she knows who we are and is excited to see us. We will see how long that lasts! She is growing so quickly. We have her 2 month appt on Friday. I am excited to see how much she weighs, but scared of her getting all of her shots. Paul has clinic in the same building so hopefully he can come help.
Here are her 2 month pictures and some other fun ones I have taken this week.

COMO.
After a long month of Internal Medicine Paul had the week off. We had a pretty busy week. First we went house hunting in Columbia. After spending many hours online looking at houses we had about 12-14 homes set up to look at while we were there that we really liked. After 2 days of looking we put an offer on a house and it has since been accepted! We are very excited to have our own home, a garage, dishwasher, a bathroom with 2 sinks, etc. We have been so lucky this last year with housing but we are ready to have our own place. We have had so many big changes this year in our lives and amazingly enough Paul and I have handled them pretty well so far. Here are some pictures of our new home!
Charlie was amazing again on the 5 hour car ride to and from Columbia. We ended up driving to Cedar Falls on Wednesday and spending some time with the grandparents. Charlie had her first pictures on Friday and we are so excited to get them back in a week or two. She was smiling the whole time until Paul and I jumped in for the family picture. She might have wanted the spotlight all to herself so hopefully she isn't a little diva!

1 month.
Charlie and I got to spend a week in Estes Park with Molly and my mom. Paul was on Internal Medicine night float and couldn't make the trip out with us. Shannon, Dayle and Olivia came back from Philadelphia halfway through the week and came up to the cabin to spend time with us too. Charlie spent her first month birthday sitting in front of the fireplace and enjoying the beautiful Colorado weather. I was a little worried that she would be so used to people holding her that coming home would be hard to adjust to. She was perfect the whole 12 hour drive out and back. I hope this is how she will always be! She started smiling this week and it melts my heart everytime I see it. It definitely makes waking up in the middle of the night easier when I see her smiling face.
